Using additional WP plugins with WPD

I love WPD for the SEO. I am creating web sites for small businesses using WPD and I also am using additional plugins like WP-eCommerce, NextGen Gallery, WordTube and Great Real Estate.

Here are my questions:

Plugins:
1. Are there any problems using other plugins with WPD that you are aware of?

2. Is there any reason that the WPD installation would prevent WP and various plugins from resetting the max_file_upload via the php.ini? I have been unable to upload videos or large images because the default setting is a max of 2M. I have created and uploaded a php.ini file with the new settings to my server with no result inside of WordPress. The php.info page shows the new settings of 50M

I got help from my hosting company to correctly change the max upload issue. The answer was that the php.ini file needs to be in the wp-admin folder.

I am still wondering about possible known plugin conflicts with WPD if anyone knows of any plugin problems, would appreciate the feedback.

Did you get WP eCommerce downloaded, installed and running on your WPD site?
I've been fighting with it for HOURS now. I'm clearly missing something that must be really obvious to techies. But I'm SO not getting the "How to". All the directions I find online that make it sound so easy, say, "download and install". Typically there's an "Install" button for folks like me. But this clearly requires a bit more savvy.

Any help you or anyone could offer I would be more than grateful (and my husband would kiss your feet because he's tired of me griping and moping about this!!)
