I want to sell my blog, I saw a video on the 30DC that you can sell your blog and add value by installing the auto posting plugins that WPD offers. However.... how does the person manage the plugin after you sell it to them? I see no where in the admin control panel inside wordpress admin anywhere to manage the plugin if you don't have a WPD account. I checked the plugins tab in the wordpress dashboard tab... but there is no where that the person can manage this plugin like we can right inside the our WPdirect accounts.
How does this add any value? dont they need a WPD account so that they can manage all of the auto posting plugins you are advertising when selling the blog? All I can see in the wordpress control panel is activate or deactivate plugin... I see no control panel like we have in our WPdirect accounts.
So isnt this absolutely pointless? why have the plugin if you cant manage it inside your wordpress control panel? How do you add keywords, etc... You can do it easlily with WPdirect... but I dont see anyway inside the wordpress blog control panel anywhere... so isnt that auto posting feature useless after the blog leaves WPdirect?

I have received an answer for this... WPdirect will explain how this will work later in a video.

Nice! Way to be so helpful. (Yes, that was sarcasm) Why did you bother posting that you had the answer and then not share it?

The answer to the question is that "WPdirect will be releasing a video to explain how this works" once that video is released I can post here if you like.... it's up to you.

Can anyone from WPDirect expand upon this? And if not, when will we be informed how this works?

I havent received an answer at all. I am beginning to believe that they could really care less.
Either they have no clue how to answer this question or they wont tell us on purpose because if you transfer the site to someone else that person is basically screwed. So either way WPD is screwing us over.
They obviously do not have an answer to this otherwise they would have helped us by now.

So should this thread just be closed?

Go ahead, the only way I can see how to manage the plugins after I sell the site is if I give that person the link to the lets say youtube auto poster control panel:
http://www.soldsite.com/youtube2wordpress/ I am hoping that management interface is still active and able to manage the posting and keywords etc... after I sell the site. I see no other way to manage the auto posting software outside of WPD.

Well, in theory, they would need a paid account to have the auto-posting feature.
You are selling them a RANKING website. They do NOT need WPD to utilize the site.
They can add value to the site by getting a WPD membership and utilizing the features therein.

Not to mention that if you can upsell WPD to someone via your affiliate link, you get a commission on that monthly subscription.

the plugins inside WPD are useless to other people, I will have to make alist of the plugins WPD uses and find the separate downloads and install and configure them on my own.
I thought you could use them after you sold the site to someone... I found some warnings about WPD at the Warrior forum and some other forums... seems like WPD is a little shady.
I have my answers, you can close this thread if you like, the WPD guys will probably delete it I suspect to keep people in the dark. ( yes I am bitter - but I will still pay for the service, I will just have to watch out for the fine print now)
OR one could cancel their WPD membership and use this plugin that does everything that wordpress does and cheaper and free... http://wprobot.net/index.php So I am actually glad that WPD refused to help me, as I have found a much better and much cheaper alternative that does EVERYTHING that the WPD plugins do.

I saw the video in 30dc about selling a website with autoblog from WPD.
If one cannot manage their website without becoming a wpd member it is a false claim and I suggest will add no value to use this as a sales advantage. With five pages of unanswered questions on the WPD help site I seriously wonder if a subscription here is worth continuing.

Well I believe you can sell it with the autoposting software installed inside the wordpress installation that WPD installs onto your website. However, the user will not have access to any control panel to manage the autoposting plugin.
It is easier to use WPROBOT and sell it WITH your website, that way the buyer does get access to the WPROBOT control panel, and WPROBOT is much cheaper than paying a monthly charge for autoposting plugins.
You can also try http://www.tryscripts.org/ they have auto posting scripts as well. Bottom line, you basically cant sell your websites with the autoposting software control panel... you need a WPD account to control the script. I do believe you can sell the site with the script still active and running. You can edit some of the plugin's features if you know PHP. This can be done inside the wordpress dashboard.
Once you install the autoposter plugin you might be able to find the developer's website inside your wordpress control panel and visit his site, that's what I did and found the video poster plugin... and he was offering it for free! you only had manually install it however.
WPD is just a medium to sell you products, they are making commissions, and the products they are selling are mostly junk anyways. Also, you can find these junk products they try to sell you for free.

If a person buys a blog, they do not need an auto poster. It's one site, how hard is it to post content to one site?
Should that person have multiple WP blogs, they could very well use a content management feature such as is in WPD.
So if they need WPD, and you have and affiliate link, why are you not making money by selling them WPD via your link?
When you sell the site, mention that it has auto posting 'capability'.
If you are selling a site, it is because the site can make money, true? Why else would anyone buy it? If it can make money, then more sites can make more money. How can you sell a site, or sites and not convey to the buyer how much better off they would be getting a WPD account?

You sound like a negative Nellie. All bitter and full of complaints.
My experience with WPD support has been the opposite of the dreary picture you paint.
Although I do commend your industriousness in finding the Wordpress plugin work arounds.
I have no problem selling my sites without the AIM software. The software I PAY for every month. Which I cannot imagine why I would want to see non paying people have for free.
Anyway, I love that as a paying WPD customer, I am an automatic affiliate. That means the $249 a month I pay WPD allows me to make 50% of all the money paid by customer's that sign up through my affiliate link. That is money I get EVERY month.
So even if I only get 8 people to sign up as Bronze members, My Platinum account is paid for. I get $100 a month for any Gold members, $50 for Silvers. So I want the people who buy my sites to opt into WPD. In fact, I sell them on it. Because, yeah, you can set up your own Wordpress blogs, if you set your sights low enough. But just try managing them when you have 367 sites!
So, yeah, I can see how you can complain, if as a free member, you get no commissions. I want people to be hungry to join WPD when I sell them a site. No apologies here, I pay for the auto posting, they should too.
So before you start throwing out your snide and demeaning comments on a public forum about a support team who, in my opinion, do a great job, you might want to check your perspective.
