Hi, please can someone tell me how I can remove the four blank advertisement boxes in the side bar? I don't want to use them, and although Roy from WPD very kindly removed them for me once before in a previous template, I'm now using another template for a different promo, and again there are another lot of four boxes. Any advice on how to remove these myself would be greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year everyone,
From Down Under.

If you file another ticket in Themes & Templates, title it RE: Roy, Ad Boxes, he will remove them and show you how he did it.

I know that you can do that by editing the html code.
But I do not understand. Why not just find another theme?
Did you know you can upload themes for the Internet onto your WPD? Many are free, Some great ones can be bought.
Why spend your time fussing with a theme? There is keyword and market research to be done!

I would like to use the Box Tube Theme since it is nice and simple. Unfortunately there is Adserve setup in the PHP Theme Code. I already try to remove it under Appearance - Editor but then I don't know which part of the PHP Code I have to delete since I have no knowledge about PHP Code.

Does anybody know how to remove these Ads that are part of the Theme?

Yes, I could just use an other theme but the Box Tube Theme would be the best for the blog subject.

Thank you

Roberto

Hi Roberto,
Those are usually found in the sidebar.php or Advertisers.php files.
To actually use them you would place the image url and affiliate link in the proper spot.
To remove them you would cut this code out.

This is the actual code from the sidebar.php for your europe site with the zoxygen theme.
