My blog has been up and running for 5 months. I have had concerns about it because the ratings on all of my keywords are "0" and I have not been able to find it in Google. The WPD Support Team assured me was blog was working properly. However, I now have serious doubts about it.

I learned yesterday, that if you go to Google Search and type in "site:blogname.com", Google should return your site. When I do this for my blog - site: organicgardeninghowto.yrnot.com - Google tells me it does not exist!

Can anybody give me any input into this? Has Google not found it because I had WPD host it? I am paying WPD a monthly fee (bronze member) and maybe this is a waste of money.

You might want to go to a place like digg or stumbleupon and "favorite" or "bookmark" your site to create a backlink that points to your website. When you have a link to your site from somewhere online that has lots of authority in google's eyes, then google will "see" your site.

Thanks, but I have already Social Bookmarked this site - at Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Furl, Technorati, Propeller, and many others. I have also three forums I participate in with links to this blog. I must have at least 200 - 300 backlinks.

In addition, I have written a number of articles in Ezinearticles, Squidoo, Hubpages, and Weebly - all with backlinks to this site. I have done all this over a period of five months.

Having done all this, I am confused why Google cannot find it. I have asked Wordpress Direct Technical Support to investigate this. Their first response was the same as yours. Yesterday, they responded by saying they would investigate this, but it would take time. How much time? I don't know.

I am not here to lend any help (sorry) but to also beg that someone from WPD answer this concern. I have seen this kind of thing a few times now via twitter and friendfeed, i.e. people are complaining that their .yrnot and .ruqqa sites not being indexed no matter what SEO steps were taken. After reading this post I really don't feel comfortable mucking about on my .yrnot blog. I have another WPD that has hosting I paid for (hostgator) and that is indexing fine.

This is the big reason why I am not bothering with the one site I have being hosted by WPD. I cetainly don't want to waste efforts on a blog that will not get indexed.

Any info here would be appreciated.

Unfortunately WPD see this forum as a peer-support forum so are unlikely to gallop to your rescue.

However, IMStrong, Vilas and Ebenezer seem to be great guys and I hope they'll bring your plight to the attention of those-who-could-help-you. It must be very frustrating and annoying for you.

Hi Joe,
Some users so thoroughly abused the AIM software that it led to couple of our domains being banned.
Our development team has been working on a tool to allow you to migrate your site to another domain.
We expect this to be rolled out in the next 1-2 weeks, so please check back with us soon if you don't get an email about it. You may also want to consider using your own domains, where you will never be in danger of having your domain blocked due to anyone else's irresponsible actions.

Customer Support sent me a message on 2/13/09 with the same message that IMSTRONG posted above. I want to thank WPD for at least giving some attention to this problem. I have been complaining about this problem for several months and it is good to see that it is being actively looked into.

WPD support has now solved this problem. They changed the "yrnot" in my address to "pictureshosted" - and it now works!

Try to remember, folks. The WPD hosts are only for testing.
