Hi,
I am trying to add an adsense banner and I don't know what the advertiser URL would be. Google doesn't talk about a particular URL that must be added on the page they only give me a script to download.
When I down load the script I get an error on my blog page saying the web page cannot be found. What page URL should I use?
Thank you for your help.

Does this help?

This is not a brush off. I went to this link and read a lot of things. I am not an Adsense expert, but it is set up very intuitively.

I have been looking through the adsense help topics but I don't understand what advertiser URL would be in my Wordpressdirect control panel page. I will keep looking and let you know if I find it.
Thank You

Is it giving you a choice of Affiliate URL's?

No,
On the WPD Ads and Banner setup control panel there is a box for "Advertiser or Website URL" and then a box for "HTML code : Note that the code should include a link to the advertisers' page." I paste in the html code from Adsense and apply and then when I check out my blog there is a message saying the website could not be found.
I am assuming it is because I didn't input an adverstiser or websight URL but I am not sure what that would be.

Why are you trying to place adsense code in anyway. Adsense shows up automatically, does it not.
Or, can you create the ad from inside wp-admin under the Manage tab and the Ad Units sub-tab?
All the Banner Ads I have placed are for affiliates, not Adsense.

Hello IMStrong,
Thank you for the quick reply. I am not sure what you mean by automatically. It would seem that I would have to add the Adsense code somewhere in order to get it onto my sight. If I am wrong then how would I get Adsense to show up? I believe I can add an Adsense in the sidebar with a text widget but I was interested in applying it as a banner. I thought the WPD control for Ads and Banners would let me do that but maybe I am wrong.
If I were to add a banner for an affiliate link would I need to the URL for the affiliate in the box for advertiser URL and then paste the affiliate code in the box for html in order to place the add on the page?
Thank you for your help.

You go to your Website Settings page and put your Adsense ID in the field provided. Then make sure the Adsense Manager plug-in is activated in the Manage Plug-ins page.
You can edit ads and format placement from inside wp-admin(Log-in credentials on Website Settings page) for your site. Click the manage tab and then the Ad-units tab. You can then choose dimensions and placement, color scemes, etc.

Now I understand (finally).
I thought that since Adsense looked like a banner across the top of the blog then it was a banner setup issue. I did not understand that Ads have there own setup.
I was completely barking up the wrong tree.
Thanks for your help again.

I wanted let others know that I got an adsense group on the blog using Ad a Banner in WPD control panel. I had two problems that needed to me resolved.
1) I have a 3 column blog theme and the banner is only on the center text column. Therefore I could not use a full size banner.
2) I was overly anxious and didn't wait the required 10 minutes for the banner to show up.
Once I took care of these problems I found that I all I had to do was put the Adsense HTML in the Add HTML box and disregard the box asking for the ad URL.
I thought you might want to know.

I tried this, no matter what I do adsense does not show up.

I have a widget ready theme, I activated the adsense plugin, inserted my adsense pub ID and chose the ad format. Adsense does not show up,

HOW do you enable and show adsense on the WPD widget ready themes?

What I was trying to do during the above discussion was to add a banner ad. I found out this is a different process than just adding adsense. I do have adsense in the banner but I used the banner set to do it.
They are really two different things.

Are you looking at it in Flock?
