Sitemap - how do we make one?

My wp-admin tells me that my site map was last built on December 8, 2008 7:00 pm. It also tells me that Google was successfully notified about changes.

But Google's Webmaster Tools was still telling me today that I don't have a site map and so I've just now submitted one, the status of which is therefore still "pending".

I thought WPD was supposed to automatically do this stuff, especially since wp-admin says that Google was "successfully notified" about the changes. Have I got a problem theme perhaps? I'm a bit bewildered over this one.

Is this something to do with it, from my debug sitemap mode:

"Errors, Warnings, Notices
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$args in /home/[username]/public_html/[mydomain].co.uk/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 1068"

?

PS I changed the title of this post to Sitemap problem but can't seem to find a way to change the title of the thread.

In wp-admin, click Settings and XML-Sitemap

That plugin can be kind of buggy.
Try these:

Or go to Google Webmaster tools and submit a sitemap!

I said I've done that: "Google's Webmaster Tools was still telling me today that I don't have a site map and so I've just now submitted one". But I guess you mean do it that way every time to be sure it's done. That's probably good advice. Thanks.
